The role: People Operations Rotation Associate, New Grad 2013
Our People Operations Rotation Program provides recent graduates with a 27-month
opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of Google's People Operations department. By taking
part in three distinct 9-month rotations, People Operations Rotation Associates have the
opportunity to try out a number of roles, such as a People Analyst, HR Business Partner,
Learning & Development Specialist, Recruiter and more. On top of your day job, you'll
be supported with customized mentoring and career development trainings and learn how
People Operations does HR differently from anywhere else. At the end of the program,
you'll have an unparalleled perspective around what it takes to find, grow and keep the
most incredible workforce on the planet. You are ready to dive right into exciting
challenges, think analytically, identify creative solutions and roll up your sleeves in
partnership with your team to get things done.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist with the planning and execution of HR programs and events.
- Manage day-to-day support operations (e.g., responding to employee questions, run
people processes, maintain and update internal websites).
- Conduct data analyses to measure effectiveness of HR initiatives and report on
organizational trends.
- Help communicate HR information to the team partners and client groups.
- Contribute to and lead projects, including oversight of resources, timelines and
deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Desire to learn about and develop key skills in the field of HR.
- Flexible work style and approach based on client needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and creatively solve problems.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail.
- Ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an
organized fashion.
