Job Description

Heroku is looking for a leader in online or enterprise business models to optimize the sales funnel and analytics for the company. The position requires the drive to understand developer and enterprise customer behavior via large amounts of data and turn information into changes to the web site or product experience to raise conversions and long term revenue. The successful senior business analyst (internally called "growth engineer") may be a statistician, an engineer, or a business professional with high attention to details, analytical skills and commercial acumen to make the right decisions.
You will be responsible for the following:

• Drive the creation of a metrics dashboard for the Heroku web site and for the overall sales funnel
• Be the owner of these reports and refresh them on an ongoing basis
• Design and run AB tests across web properties, working with the web team to implement and iterate
• Create and manage customer development and retention strategies with a programmatic approach, dealing with tens of thousands of customers at various stages in their lifecycle
• Present findings and recommendations for optimization to the management team on a regular basis

This is a high impact role at Heroku and the job title is flexible for the right candidate. You should have the following experience:

• Technical background in at least one of these fields: online marketing, engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics
• Understanding of online and enterprise business models
• Working knowledge of Excel, SQL and databases to directly mine information
• Business acumen to interpret, synthesize data and communicate it
• Prior experience in entrepreneurial environments is a plus
• University degree in finance, business or engineering
